A SCATTERED SEED
One of the students attending English classes at a local church is joined every week by a social worker to assist with his mental disability. Initially he was easily overwhelmed by things in his environment, but has settled down after getting more comfortable.
Week after week this social worker had no choice but sit through Bible times as an assistant to this student. As time went on he began to listen more intently and started asking questions from himself. A seed has clearly taken root now as this social worker began to bring his own Bible to class and comes prepared with questions!
Pray with us for this man and many others, as seeds are scattered every week and sometimes they take root in unexpected places. May the Lord continue to stir in hearts as students regularly gather.

Thank God, may the planting of His Word bear fruit in Jesus name & the healing of that disability in Jesus name. Prayed.
Sincerely GRATEFUL! Thank you, LORD! May the social worker and "patient" come to know you as LORD and SAVIOUR !

COMMUNITY EVENTS
Its getting warmer, and churches are beginning to plan more community events leading up to Easter. Leaders pour a lot into these opportunities to connect with their local neighbors.
The other day a missionary shared that their church held a mochi, “rice pounding event.” Over 180 people came packing this small church that they almost ran out of mochi!
Pray with us as we support these churches in their various community events.

Matthew 19:14
Jesus said, “Let the little children come to me, and do not hinder them, for the kingdom of heaven belongs to such as these.
Through child care and English outreach programs children are introduced to the teachings of Christ in partnership with different churches. We are busy preparing for graduation season now!
Pray with us that seeds planted will bear fruit in the fullness of God’s time.

Quoted this verse this morning!
WATCH OUT!
In our area we don’t have warning signs for deer or other wild life, our signs are for the elderly!
We have at least three or four retirement homes that are walking distance from our headquarters, and we try our best to maintain a connection with the local residents there. Ever since covid though, outside guests are seldom welcome due to the cautious nature of the Japanese. They allow us to visit on special days like “respect for the aged day” or Christmas to give them flowers and a small gift from our childcare program.
Pray for the many elderly in Japan who spend a lot of time in isolation, that they may also know the love of the Lord.

How "lonely" without Christ!
VISION
JM does not plant churches directly, but partners with existing churches and church plants across Japan. We support churches that are evangelistic and grounded in the Bible by providing literature, resources, and evangelistic programs which help churches reach their communities for Christ.
May the Lord equip us to faithfully support again in 2026!

RETURNEES
Japanese often find faith in Christ and thrive while living overseas. But many challenges await them as they return to Japan and face societal opposition, and struggle to find a good Christian community.
Sometimes we receive requests from overseas to help bridge the gap, and connect these Japanese returnees with a spiritual home back in Japan.
Pray with us for these Japanese returnees who have tasted and seen that the Lord is good! That they might find solid community in Japan and continue to grow and shine their light where they are planted.

🙏❤️ AMEN
Coming-of-Age Day (成人の日)is celebrated each year on the second Monday of January. Those turning 20 before March 31st this year, will officially become adults in Japanese society. This day is celebrated to reflect both the expanded rights, but also increased responsibilities expected of new adults.
Please help us pray for these young people on Monday, as they dress up in kimono and suits to celebrate!
Pray with us that they may discover hope and purpose found in a vibrant and dynamic relationship with God. Also, pray for our local churches that they may have wisdom to communicate the Good News in a language that this generation will understand.
